As I write this letter, the search and rescue effort in the Bahamas continues, as does the effort to provide life-saving and life-sustaining assistance to the people who suffered the catastrophic devastation of Hurricane Dorian. I am humbled by the incredible generosity of our congregation in responding to what has become a grave humanitarian crisis in the Bahamas.
