About Us

Founded in 1963, St. Paul’s Day School has provided quality education in a loving, Christian atmosphere for over 60 years. The Day School is located on the beautiful campus of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on historic Swinton Ave, just two blocks from downtown Delray Beach. We are fortunate to be a small school of 34 students, allowing for individualized attention for each child’s unique needs. Our reputation has been built on word-of-mouth recommendations from parents and alumni, who love sharing about their experience at our school. We offer classes for 3 year-olds and VPK classes for 4 year-olds. The Day School has been accredited through the Florida Association of Childcare Management and has received its Gold Seal for Quality of Care.

Philosophy & Guiding Principles

Our philosophy is to nurture preschool children’s love of learning in a developmentally appropriate and challenging atmosphere. Our program focuses on the whole child, and addresses social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of our children.

The unique storybook setting of the “Children’s Village” promotes a safe learning environment for three, four, and five year old children. The sounds and songs of happy children at work and play are a daily occurrence.

Sponsored by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, our school welcomes all children and their families regardless of religious affiliation. With the support of the Church, tuition has remained reasonable and affordable.

Administration

The Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is ultimately responsible for the school program. He is assisted by other Clergy of the Church, as well as a School Board comprised of members who represent parents, alumni and parishioners, and the director of the school. The Board meets monthly and works to maintain school policy and to support school programs.

The staff includes a teaching school director and three teachers. All teachers are certified by the Child Development Association (CDA) or Early Childhood degrees and are experienced in preschool programs. We also partner with the Director of Music Ministry from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in our weekly music class and special programs.
