Fr. Paul’s Blog 5.11.18

This weekend we honor two special groups of people, mothers and members of the Class of 2018. In celebrating Mother’s Day, we honor and bless all those who have nurtured us with a mother’s love. We will pray for and bless all of our mothers, living and deceased. After our 8 am and 10 am services, our Brotherhood of St. Andrew will host our Annual Mother’s Day Brunch. This year, in addition to serving the traditional favorite strata, the Brotherhood will be serving a wide variety of beverages including mimosas, a drink I am told is delicious.
Cheers to all moms! In celebrating the Class of 2018, we will honor and bless four lifetime members of our congregation who are graduating from high school: Elizabeth Applewhite, Treanakay Bostwick, Emma Kilpatrick, and Douglas Wotton. We will also honor and bless Autumn Mreczko, a member of our Youth Ministry team, who has earned her Master’s degree. These five parish members will soon be participating in their respective school’s commencement exercises. As one chapter of their lives closes, we congratulate them for what they have accomplished. As a new chapter of their lives begins, we assure them of our continued prayers and support. Way to go Class of 2018! Finally, I want to remind everyone that we will host the South Palm Beach Deanery’s Regional Confirmation service next Saturday, May 19 at 5:00 pm, the Eve of Pentecost. As we welcome Bishop Eaton, please keep the confirmation and reception candidates from throughout our deanery in your prayers as they take a significant step in their walk of faith.
