Fr. Paul’s Blog – 11.17.19

Welcome!

November is a very special month in the life of an Episcopal parish. It is particularly special for us here at St. Paul’s. We began November with the celebration of All Saints, honoring the holy men and women who went before us and are now in God’s greater glory, and recommitting ourselves to walking in the footsteps of Christ among the cloud of witnesses of the saints here on earth. Last weekend we blessed our veterans, giving God thanks for their heroic service. Soon we will celebrate Thanksgiving Day before concluding the Church year with the Feast of Christ the King.
This Friday evening and Saturday, we will host our Treasures and Trinkets sale, an important fundraiser to support the mission and outreach ministries of our parish. Friday night’s Preview Party gives you the first chance to purchase some of the wonderful items available while you enjoy delicious appetizers and great entertainment. The fun continues Saturday, starting at 8:30 am. I encourage you to invite friends and neighbors to come to Treasures and Trinkets, not only to find great deals, but also to discover the warm and welcoming hospitality of our church family.
On behalf of the vestry and entire parish family of St. Paul’s, I say thank you to the many people who have worked so hard in preparing for Treasures and Trinkets. The planning committee, and so many others, have blessed us with the gift of their time, talent, and treasure to make this event a success.
Finally, as I write this letter, Irene and I are preparing to take some time away this weekend to enjoy a little rest and renewal.

Blessings in Christ,
Fr. Paul+
