Fr. Paul Blog post 8/26

Welcome!

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you now and forever. Whether you are a member, a regular attendee, or a first-time visitor, we are blessed to have you with us. This past week, Rev. Kathleen and I had the joy of welcoming Nathaniel Gilmour to St. Paul’s for a “day in the life of a parish priest” experience. Nathaniel is the grandson of the late Heather Frazier, a long-time parishioner of St. Paul’s. He is also the godson of Sandy Norman, a member of our vestry and choir. Na-thaniel is from England and he is discerning a vocation to ordained ministry. For me, the day was an opportunity to hear Nathaniel’s story and to dis-cuss with him the joys and challenges of priesthood today. It was also a great affirmation for me to know that a young person in his twenties, who is as bright and gifted as Nathaniel, is considering serving the Church as a priest! Visiting with him gave me great hope for the future of our Church. My prayer is that we all may be bearers of hope and beacons of light, al-lowing others to experience the love of God through us.

In Christ,
