Fr. Paul 9/23/30

We continue to pray for those impacted by Hurricane Florence.  One way that we can help our brothers and sisters suffering in the wake of the storm is by supporting the work of Episcopal Relief and Development.  You can donate directly on their website, www.episcopalrelief.org, or place a donation in the baskets located at the doors of church today.

I want to thank Dr. Sandy Norman for her incredible presentation on the ancient history of Jerusalem last Sunday.  Sandy’s presentation was the first of our three-part Christian Education Forum Series on Jerusalem.  The series continues this Sunday with a presentation on the post-Crusades history of Jerusalem by Dr. Patty Kollander.  We can all be grateful that both of these fine scholars are sharing their immense talent with us, helping us to know our faith better and inspiring us to live it ever more fully.

Speaking of people sharing their talents with us for the building up of the Body of Christ, I want to thank Patti Daniell and Sally Grillo, both certified yoga instructors, who helped to lead our second Yoga Mass® here at St. Paul’s this past Tuesday evening.  We look forward to offering the Yoga Mass® on a regular basis.

One of my favorite days of the year is approaching.  On Saturday, October 6th we will have our annual pet blessing to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis.  I hope that you will bring your furry, feathered, and scaly friends to church that afternoon and encourage your family and friends to do the same!

In Christ,  Fr. Paul+
