Fr. Paul’s Blog 10.07.18

This weekend we welcome back Fr. David Angelica, our seasonal assisting priest, who is back in south Florida after spending the summer in New England! Also this weekend, we celebrate one of our most special partners in grace, Family Promise of South Palm Beach County. Ever since we arrived in December of 2015, Irene and I have treasured our commitment to volunteer as Family Promise social hosts here at St. Paul’s. I encourage you to read more about the wonderful work of Family Promise (inside this bulletin) and consider ways that you might become a St. Paul’s Family Promise volunteer. After our 10 am service, we have 12 households joining us for our Newcomers Lunch and Church Tour! If you are new to St. Paul’s and cannot join us for the Newcomers Lunch, no worries, we will have another one in the spring. Next Saturday, October 13th, our pilgrimage group departs for the Holy Land. There will be a total of 44 pilgrims, 20 of us from St. Paul’s. We will be carrying the many prayers that have been placed in our replica section of the Western Wall to the actual Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. I will be posting regular pilgrimage updates on our St. Paul’s Facebook page. Please keep this sacred journey in your prayers. Finally, next Sunday at our 10 am service, we will thank and honor the men and women of the Delray Beach Fire Rescue Department. This is the first of what I hope will be an annual celebration to honor these brave public servants for the many ways they protect and serve our community!

In Christ, Fr. Paul+
