In Austin Texas, the General Convention is in full swing. Just search for the Media Hub of the General Convention (https://www.episcopalchurch.org/general-convention-2018-media-hub) for real time information and summaries of the actions. You may see the Episcopal Church in the news. On Sunday morning, July 8th, the Bishops United Against Gun Violence will march through the streets of Austin at 9:30am – prime church time. At noon, there will be a prayer vigil of convention attendees at the Detention Center in Taylor, Texas. Of the three Episcopal Conversations (TEC), one remains this week. It will be streamed live and remember – the times are noted as Central Time. Care of Creation Tuesday, July 10 from 10:30 am – noon Central Time; Speakers: Archbishop Thabo Makgoba of the Anglican Province of South Africa and a leader in the Anglican Communion on climate change; The Rev. Stephanie Johnson, co-chair of the Episcopal Church Stewardship of Creation Advisory Council; Bernadette Demientieff, leader of the Gwich’in Steering Committee and defender of Alaska’s Arctic Refuge.
