Welcome and Happy Independence Day Weekend!
As we celebrate our nation’s 243rd birthday, we thank God for the gifts of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness with which we have been blessed. I hope that you are finding this summer season to be a blessing.
While the pace of our common life has slowed a bit, there’s a lot still going on at St. Paul’s. Since June 17th, our Paul’s Place After School program has been hosting a special summer enrichment program for our middle and high school students. This program will continue through August 1st. We are offering Christian yoga on Tuesdays and a gentle flow yoga program on Wednesdays. Our Sunday forum series, “The Universal Christ”, continues this Sunday.
In the community, the Caring Kitchen continues to feed the hungry, with lunch being served six days per week at various churches in Delray. Every Friday at St. Matthew’s, the shower truck is providing showers, clean clothing, and hygiene kits to clients served by the Caring Kitchen.
I’m happy to share with you that our Summer Newsletter is “hot off the presses,” and available at the church entrance. It highlights some of the wonderful ways which the love of God is made real for us and for those who come to us at St. Paul’s.
Starting Monday, Irene and I will be away for a couple weeks of vacation. As we take time for rest and refreshment, please know that we carry our parish family of St. Paul’s in our prayers.

Blessings in Christ, who sets us free,
Fr. Paul+
