Fr. Paul’s Blog 4.13.18

We recently received some very wonderful news. St. Paul’s is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places! Our main campus is part of the Old School Square Historic District. As we celebrate this great honor, let’s recommit ourselves to making a difference for Christ here in Delray Beach and beyond. Speaking of making a difference for Christ, we recently had 16 parish members help in the on-going Hurricane Irma recovery effort in the Keys! Mike and Nancy Armstrong organized this terrific inter-generational mission trip. We partnered with a mission group from St. Joseph’s in Boynton Beach to make a more significant impact. I want to thank the 16 people who went on the mission trip, the youth and families who helped prepare gift baskets for the families still displaced by Irma, and the many other parish members and friends who made donations to support the mission trip. I want to invite you to a very special “Let’s Do Lunch” this Wednesday, April 18th at 12 noon. We will welcome Canon David Parrott, who serves as Guild Vicar of St. Lawrence Jewry parish in London. His topic will be “Ministry in the city of London: How it works.” Known for his wit and wisdom, Canon Parrott’s visit will be a blessing! Finally, I encourage you to support our Cursillo Bake Sale this Sunday morning, after the 8 and 10 o’clock services. The bake sale will raise funds to help send pilgrims (Cursillo participants) to the Men’s Cursillo on the weekend of May 31-June 3. Our own Joe Ryan is serving on the Cursillo team. If you have never attended Cursillo, please consider doing so, your life in Christ just might be changed forever!
