Fr. Paul’s Blog – 12.22.19

Welcome!
Yes, Virginia, there is a…Fourth Week of Advent! In fact, it starts today with the celebration of the Fourth Sunday of Advent. It will be a brief “week,” as it will conclude when we celebrate our first Christmas Eve service on Tuesday at 5:00 pm.
As we continue our Advent journey, preparing our hearts to receive the loving, liberating, life-giving gift of Jesus Christ, we turn toward the crèche, that sacred image of redeeming grace. As we conclude our worship this weekend, the only figure that remains to join the Christmas Nativity scene is the most important of all, the figure of the baby Jesus, who we will place in the crèche on Christmas Eve.
On behalf of the clergy, wardens, vestry, and staff of St. Paul’s, we wish you and those you love a very Merry Christmas, filled with the joy and peace of Jesus!
