Fr. Paul’s Blog 1.13.19

Stewardship is the conviction that all good gifts come from God and are given to us in order to fulfill God’s purpose of transforming our world into a more loving, liberating, and life-giving place. For we who are members of the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement, stewardship is a way of life. Grateful for our many blessings, we become a blessing to others. Today, as we begin our 2019 pledge drive, we commit our financial resources to support God’s work at St. Paul’s.

Together, we walk in love, following the call of Jesus to become the beloved community. Each of us is a special part of the beloved community that is St. Paul’s. You and I bless so many people through our financial support of St. Paul’s and through our active participation in our common life. On behalf of the many people whose lives are transformed through the ministry of St. Paul’s, I thank you!

As you prayerfully consider your financial support of St. Paul’s through your 2019 pledge, I encourage you to be generous with the work of God, heeding St. Paul’s admonition: “Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God.” [Ephesians 5:2] For your convenience, there are 2019 pledge cards in the pew pockets in front of you and at the church doors. When you are finished filling out your pledge card, you may place it in the collection plate during offertory or bring it directly to our church office. We ask that you please make your pledge between now and the weekend of January 26 & 27. In Christ, the Giver of all Good Gifts,
