Contemplative Outreach, together with St. Paul’s and St. Joseph’s, will be offering an Introduction to Centering Prayer.Contemplative Outreach is a worldwide organization dedicated to fostering the contemplative dimension of Christianity as reintroduced to the modern world by Fr. Thomas Keating. Centering prayer is a form of meditation that combines the practice of mindfulness with consent to the presence and action of God within us. At the workshop, we will learn how to do centering prayer and also the historical and theological background for it. We will also discuss ways to sustain and support the practice of centering prayer.
