Veterans Ministry

St. Paul’s has a very active Veterans Ministry. The group meets the second Tuesday of every month, at 10:00 a.m. in Bush Hall, to plan outreach events and special offerings to the parish. All are welcome to attend!

St. Paul’s has a “Wall of Honor” that features photos of family members currently serving as Active Duty, Reserves or National Guard members. If you are a parishioner and would like to provide a picture and Branch of Service for any of your family members who are now serving, please contact Father Bernie fpecaro@stpaulsdelray.org, so that we can add them to the Wall.

Our Veterans Team is inviting you to participate in making our parish a Veterans Safe Space. This tells veterans that they may come to our parish and feel safe. The Fire Watch Stander program offers this certification. We need dedicated parishioners to go online and take the short training sessions. This course enables you to be a connector for veterans in need. Please go to www.firewatch.org to learn more. If you have any questions, please call Margo Vuicich at (561) 302-2175.

The Parish has raised $3000 to send 100 “We Care” packages to those currently serving and who do not receive many packages from home. PLEASE SAVE THE DATE of October 12 for the Forgotten Soldier Packing Party! The location for this event is the Forgotten Soldiers facility in Lantana. There are two shifts: 10:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m., or 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Volunteer numbers are limited. Youth are invited! Thank you for “signing up” in the Courtyard.
