Music Ministry

St. Paul’s music ministry supports the worship of the church on Sunday mornings and at other choral services and concerts throughout the year. The music is supported by a dynamic community of dedicated musicians who comprise the Saint Paul’s Chancel Choir. The choir sings every Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist and at special concerts and Feast Days. The choir’s primary role is to lead congregational singing, which includes traditional Anglican hymnody as well as singing a broad range of liturgical music reflecting our Anglican tradition and embracing the best of current liturgical composers. The choir includes a professional Schola of eight singers who support and encourage the volunteer members. Rehearsals are every Thursday 7:00-8:30 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about the choir, please contact Dr. David Macfarlane, Choir Director. davidm@stpaulsdelray.org

CHORAL EVENSONG – On Sunday, March 2 at 3pm the Chancel Choir will sing choral evensong. This beautiful service is an longstanding Anglican tradition and Evensong is still sung every Sunday afternoon at cathedrals and parishes in England and at many American Episcopal churches. The service will include Herbert Howells’ magnificent “Collegium Regale” setting of the canticles as well as Balfour Gardner’s beautiful Evening Hymn. Please join us as we pray and sing this beautiful service to close out the Epiphany season and prepare for Lent.
